After launching in July last year, it appears that Asus Australia has added the Asus C202SA education focused Chromebook in Australia.
The Chromebook is education focused, with a scratch-resistant finish and ruggedised rubber bumper on the corner to protect against bumps and scratches, it’s also got a ruggedised chasis that will take some punishment. The C202SA will also take some punishment from liquids as well, with a spill resistant keyboard.
It’s your traditional clamshell design, though it does include a 180-degree hinge to allow it to lay flat if necessary. Internally, the Chromebook has been modularised to make it easy to repair or replace components such as the keyboard, thermal module, battery, and motherboard, handy for the education market.
Internally, the Chromebook is powered by an Intel Celeron N3060 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB of on-board flash storage with a microSD card slot included as well. The 11.6″ HD (1366×768) resolution anti-glare display (1366×768) will be kind on young, inquiring eyes, and a selection of the usual ports including HDMI and USB 3.0 ports add to the options for expandability.
Asus is seeing 10-hours of battery life, which should do the average school student quite well across their day. Though chargers are never too far away.
Priced at $ 449.00 you can grab the Asus C202SA in either Grey or Dark Blue colour options from the Asus on-line store, or from their partners.
