Looks like the HTC One ‘Mini’ or M4 as its been known has leaked ahead of what is being said to be an August launch. The phone has shown up on Estonian site forte.delfi.ee and they’ve supplied the details on what hardware their sample contains.

The hardware on the device includes a 4.3-inch 720p display, a Dual-Core CPU and 2GB of RAM, the phone will come with 16GB internal storage as well as the (4MP) UltraPixel Camera associated with the HTC One. Whilst they don’t appear to have been able to confirm 100% they are reasonably sure the phone is running Android 4.2.2.

From the pictures we can see that Beats Audio is included and design wise HTC are keeping the front mounted stereo speaker setup, so presumably we can expect BoomSound. the capacative button setup is the same as its larger brother and the black colour will hopefully be joined by a silver variant as well.

The phone will be on-sale in Europe for €400 around August according to their sources, although hopefully HTC will be rolling the One ‘Mini’ out globally at the same time.

Are you keen for a HTC One Mini? What price range should it be?

I think it is the black that is making it look fugly. I have a Silver One M7 and it looks quite good. And I didn’t like the Black M7 either. Definitely better than the HTC Velocity that I used to have.

Having said that, I hope it comes in Silver and is released into Australia. My wife needs a new phone (to upgrade her from the Wildfire) and I think this will be a good candidate.

I think this device will likely be such a great value option (if priced appropriately) that it could become my goto recommendation for non-enthusiasts.
Since the first rumours, I contemplated holding out for this phone; I got the One partially because too many people holding out might sink HTC altogether and this thing would NEVER turn up!

Black doesn’t suit that industrial design at all.

This is one god damn ugly phone.

I didn’t think the HTC One design could ever look “ugly”, I guess I’ve been proven wrong…
