The upcoming redesign of Gmail was revealed this week, but it seems there’s more to it with the latest leak showing that Google may also incorporate a confidential mode offering more control over who reads your emails and for how long.

According to information and a screenshot shared by The Verge, the new confidential mode will allow you to restrict certain emails from being forwarded, or copy, download or print them. Additionally, you could also require a passcode (generated by SMS) to access an email, or have it expire on a certain date.

The new updates are part of what Google described to G Suite administrators as an Early Adopter Program which they said should be available in the coming weeks. With Google I/O just a few weeks away it wouldn’t be surprising to see this launched around then.
