Following their announcement of pre-orders for the Echo Spot last week, you can now purchase an Amazon Echo Spot at retailers around Australia from today.
Priced at $199, the Amazon Echo Spot has all the great features of Alexa, Amazon’s digital assistant, but also packs in a 2.5″ circular display and video camera, as well as Amazons second generation far-field microphone technology for video conferencing with other Echo Spot devices or with your family and friends using the Alexa app.
To make use of the screen, Amazon has partnered with ABC NEWS and FOX SPORTS Australia to offer video flash briefings – the short news excerpts that bring you up to date with the days happenings, but now with video.
If you’re interested in checking out an Amazon Echo Spot, they’re available from select retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, and Myer for $199 AUD (RRP) in Australia. Customers in New Zealand can visit Noel Leeming or JB Hi-Fi where it’s on-sale for $229 NZD (RRP). You can also check it out on amazon.com.au/echospot.
