Google’s revamp of Gmail on the web yielded a new usability feature in the quick access panel, allowing users fast access to Google Keep, Calendar and the new version of Tasks without leaving their Inbox. Now Google is expanding the quick-access side panel to other G Suite apps including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and more.

Google says the feature will help you to quickly access the features of Calendar Keep and Tasks from within Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings. The feature will allow you to do a number of things including:

  • Google Calendar: Quickly reference, create or edit invites.
  • Google Keep: Easily take notes, create lists, and see your other content.
  • Google Tasks: Manage your tasks and to-dos.

Google is also bringing Keep and Tasks into Google Calendar on the web.

Google says they will be rolling the feature out to users over the next two weeks, so keep an eye out for this additional functionality in your G Suite apps.
