OnePlus tend to release a minor upgrade to their H1 flagship every year just to stay relevant and current for the entire 12 months. It is nearly time for them to announce the H2 flagship and thus we are beginning to see some leaks of it.
Today via Twitter Ishan Agarwal has shared specs he has received for the OnePlus 7T, with very little information on the OnePlus 7T Pro (if it exists).
According to Ishan the OnePlus 7T will arrive on September 26 in Delhi with:
- Snapdragon 855+
- 8+128GB & 8+256GB, Frosted Silver & Haze Blue
- 6.55-inch Super AMOLED 90Hz display — still with a notch albeit smaller
- 3800mAh battery
- 48MP+16MP+12MP rear camera, 16MP front
Free Cloud Storage for a year will be provided. Will provide #OnePlus7TPro details if I get them but I'm hearing weird stuff: #OnePlus7T might have SD855+ while 7T Pro retains SD855. Not sure. 4080mAH Battery in OnePlus 7T Pro. Gear up for OnePlus Special Event happening in Delhi https://t.co/4ZJ25c3jaj

The interesting part, and what I think makes the whole thing a tad sketchy, is the specs he has provided or suspects for the OnePlus 7T Pro. In a followup tweet to the firs tone he has it coming with just a Snapdragon 855, rather than the Plus version in the 7T.
It seems extremely strange to have the “Pro” version of a phone underspecced compared to the lesser version — although this could also mean that we won’t actually see a Pro version of the 7T with the expected global 5G version arriving instead.
I’m going with their not being a 7T Pro and instead some form of 5G with improved specs — OnePlus 7T 5G?
While we seem to have fallen off the radar of OnePlus it is not without possibility that the 5G version could be sold here and they use their sister company’s Vivo and OPPO’s supply, distribution and service channels. Let’s hope that they do move here but don’t hold your breath.
