The KIRF market is a growth market and one of the best from the last few years is Goophone, they’ve consistently managed to clone the biggest devices in the mobile industry in a relatively short period of time after their launch. Goophone has announced their Goophone S5, just over a day after the announcement of the Galaxy S5.
Available in the same colour choices as the Samsung Galaxy S5 – white, black, gold or blue – the phone pretty much mirrors the specs of the Galaxy S5, but not completely, unfortunately one of the features that the GooPhone is missing is the LTE radio, with the GooPhone S5 only supporting GSM/CDMA radios, there’s also an incomplete spec list so we can’t see everything.
Full specs for the Goophone S5
- 5-inch, 1080P FHD (1920*1080 pixels)
- 2GHz MTK MT6592 octa-core processor, GPS: ARM Mali450-MP4
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB storage
- 13-megapixel camera, with LED flashlight and 5MP Front-Facing camera
- Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n
- GSM Radio: 850/900/1800/1900MHz WCDMA: 850/2100MHz
- Dual SIM cards slots (Standard)
- 2800mAh Battery
The price tag is significantly less than the expected retail price for the Galaxy S5, coming in at just $299.99, but don’t get too excited, it doesn’t seem to be available yet with the availability listed as ‘out of stock’. But while you’re checking out the GooPhone website, check out what other KIRF phones are available.
How long until the cheap fake S5 copies start appearing at weekend markets?
With luck toast, they’ll be widely available in store before the SGS5 is actually available.
