Following an internal review, Boost Mobile has announced a price increase for several of its plans. Starting October 22, 2024, prices for select plans will rise, with increases ranging from $1 to $4.

The changes include:

  • The 7-day expiry plan is increasing from $12 to $13.
  • The 28-day recharge options will see a $4 hike across various data plans; for instance, the $22 plan for 7GB will now cost $26, and the $70 plan for 90GB will increase to $74.

On a positive note, Boost Mobile’s popular 12-month plans priced at $300 and $365 will remain unchanged. The $300 plan, offering 240GB for 12 months, equates to $25 per month with more than 21GB of data monthly. This is noted to be double the average data usage of Australians. The $365 plan provides 365GB, maintaining its value of $1 per day.

Boost Mobile will discontinue the $230 12-month expiry SIM, but customers can still purchase or recharge this plan before the changes take effect, ensuring they receive 170GB of data for the next year.

The company reiterates its unwavering commitment to transparency, giving customers ample notice about these changes. Price adjustments are necessary to support ongoing investments in mobile coverage and performance by their network partner, Telstra, to ensure the reliability and security of Boost Mobile’s services.

Jason Haynes, General Manager of Boost Mobile, stated,

“Any changes to our pricing structure is not something we take lightly, especially in this economic climate, but is done so that we can maintain the very best in mobile coverage and performance.”

In addition to the price changes, Boost Mobile assures that several features will remain unchanged:
– Best-value $300 and $365 12-month plans.
– Data rollover on 28-day plans if recharged before expiry.
– Unlimited calls and texts to standard national numbers.
– International inclusions and roaming.
– Full coverage of the 4G and 5G Telstra Networks with speed caps at 150Mbps and 250Mbps, respectively.

Boost Mobile remains steadfast in its dedication to offering competitive value and will introduce bonus data offers to ensure customers continue to receive excellent value for their money.
