BOOST MOBILE, the world’s largest youth-focused telco brand, has promoted Jason Haynes to Chief Executive Officer. Haynes, who has served as General Manager and Chief Marketing Officer for the past 7.5 years, has been instrumental in the brand’s record growth in the prepaid market.

Haynes’ journey with Boost began 24 years ago as the company’s first brand ambassador during his career as a professional snowboarder and Australian Champion. He joined Boost in 2017, following a successful tenure as CEO of creative agency 3CMG and General Manager Australasia at Hurley, a subsidiary of Nike.

Under Haynes’ leadership, Boost Mobile has seen significant growth, becoming the fastest-growing independently owned mobile brand in Australia. His efforts have included promoting recycled and refurbished technology and introducing the Boost Trade-In app for easy smartphone and iPad trade-ins.

Boost Mobile is now expanding beyond mobile services with the launch of Boost Broadband and new NBN and NBN+ offers. The company aims to explore additional markets and categories beyond Australia.

Telco veteran Warren Hardy, who played a crucial role in Boost’s success, will retire after over 30 years in the industry.

Boost Founder and Board Member Peter Adderton praised Haynes, saying,

“This appointment recognizes the incredible impact that Haynes has had on the business over the last 7.5 years, and the need for strong leadership as we move into a tremendously exciting next phase for the brand.”

Haynes expressed his excitement for the future, stating,

“We are now one of the most trusted telco brands in the country, and I believe that the Boost brand can resonate well outside of mobile and broadband services, and even beyond Australia.”

The company continues to support Australian sports, adding football to its sponsorship portfolio, and maintaining its commitment to delivering value and great consumer experiences.
