Just days before Mobile World Congress 2015 kicks off, Sony’s rumoured to be bringing a new device out in the form of the Xperia M4 “Aqua”.

XperiaBlog and Digi-Wo have been leaking both red (or pink, if you believe Digi-Wo) and white variants for a couple of days now, with today’s white leak giving us a look at the phone’s edges, although it’s a blurry one.

Of note is the uncovered USB port that appears to be on the top left edge of the phone – it’s said to be waterproof and dustproof, and should satisfy everyone who’s fed up with the flap on the USB port of the current Xperia Z3 series (ahem, like yours truly).

It looks like the “Aqua” designation could be a direct reference to the phone’s waterproof nature. Specs however peg it as a midrange device, with Digi-Wo speculating that the phone features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm 610 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras. It should also come with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

We’re days away from Mobile World Congress 2015, and Dan is on the ground covering it live – you’ll see the news here as it breaks in Barcelona!

Before discovering the Nexus One, Jason thought he didn't need a smartphone. Now he can't bear to be without his Android phone. Jason hails from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane depending on his mood and how detailed a history you'd like. A web developer by day with an interest in consumer gadgets and electronics, he also enjoys reading comics and has a worryingly large collection of Transformers figures. He'd like to think he's a gamer, but his Wii has been in a box since he moved to Sydney, and his PlayStation Vita collection is quite lacking. Most mornings you'll find him tilting at various windmills on Twitter - follow @JM77 and say hi!
