It seems that over in the US, the so called Panda Nexus, the White variant of the Google Nexus 4 has been sold out for a couple of weeks. After being announced by LG on the 28th of May, the White Nexus 4 went on-sale in the US a couple of days later on Google Play and sold out after what appeared to be a relatively limited run of just under a month.
The good news for us here in Australia is that Harvey Norman have confirmed that they still have stock of the White Nexus 4 and see no issues with getting further stock from their supplier.
The White Nexus 4 does look pretty cool and at $419, it’s still comparably priced to the black variant available on the Google Play store. Head on over to the Harvey Norman website to take a look at the Nexus 4 in white.
I bought a Nexus 4 last weekend and the stores I called here in South Australia were mostly out of stock for both under the 16GB model. The only one that seemed to have stock was the store in City X in Adelaide.
It’s actually cheaper (albeit not by much) to purchase locally, as postage from Google Play works out to be about $25.00 extra without exchange rates applied.
