The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been available at AllPhones and coming to TeleChoice stores for almost a week, but has just been announced as being officially on-sale in Australia.
The Galaxy S4 Active is now available to pre-order from Vodafone on a 24 Month contract on their $60 plan with an additional $5 per month handset repayment on top. This plan includes 1.5GB of Data and infinite standard National voice calls to other Vodafone mobiles, it also includes infinite national and international SMS. To check out the full details, check out the Vodafone website.
The Galaxy S4 Active, Specs are fairly on par with the original Galaxy S4 although a downgrade in the camera from a 13MP to an 8MP sensor has been made. The camera software on the Galaxy S4 Active comes with ‘Aqua Mode’ in order to ‘help users capture high quality images and video while underwater’.
Additional weight and thickness have been added to the device in the design to ensure that the IP67 Water and Dust resistance certification can be achieved, this also includes physical buttons to replace the capacative buttons on the front of the device.
For the Australian market, the Samsung GALAXY S4 Active will be coming in ‘Urban Grey’ but there will be an included ‘Orange Flare’ coloured back cover which can be changed. No word yet on the promise of an additional ‘Dive Blue’ backplate, that’s currently on the TeleChoice homepage.
