With a handset currently over a year old and the shine beginning to fade on their 2014 flagship, a number of users are asking ‘What’s next?’ for the smartphone maker. CEO Pete Lau has taken to Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo to shed a bit of light on the upcoming handset, including the price and processor that will power the handset.
In light of recent controversy surrounding their current processor, Qualcomm have been adamant that there’s nothing wrong the Snapdragon 810 and according to Pete Lau, this processor is what you will find under the hood of the OnePlus Two.
Pricing wise, he dropped a figure of 2499.99 Yuan, or around AU$509 though with current purchasing practices you will of course most likely be purchasing that phone in the US and then having it forwarded by your favourite shipping forwarder.
When they recently dropped the invite system for the OnePlus One to celebrate the one year anniversary of the handset, OnePlus did advise that their much maligned invite system will once again be put in place – so there’s no escaping it.
Rumours for the handset put the release for the OnePlus Two at Q3, though with OnePlus on deck, anything is possible. Stay Tuned.
