ZTE has very quietly added another low cost 3G mobile handset into the market in the form of the ZTE T230 mobile phone, available now from Officeworks unlocked for just $88.
The handset, which is a relatively cheap 3G mobile phone, does in some ways follow the same or at least similar specs seen in their latest mobile handsets they released, the Telstra Smart Plus (T816) and the Boost INDY (B816), so really the handset isn’t a wow factor mid range or high end kind of device but for the price point it certainly could be worse.
The full list of specs include:
- 4.0″ TFT WVGA Display (800 x 400)
- 1.2GHz quad core SC7731 Processor
- 512MB RAM
- 4GB Memory with 2GB user space available, expandable to 32GB via microSD
- 5MP Rear Camera, 0.3MP front facing
- Android 4.4 (KitKat)

how to root ZTE blade q3
I thought this would be an ideal phone for my daughter but it disappoints on so many levels. First of all, 512MB of RAM. Really? 4GB/2GB memory? Seriously? 800×400 display? You have gotta be kidding. It seems this phone is pitched at the young kids. However, young kids now-a-days play videos and games. The poor resolution is pathetic. The minimum should be 1GB of RAM, 16GB of memory and at least 1920×1080 resolution. With the specifications it has, $88 is too much.
