Oppo has today announced their recently announced camera-centric F1 handset is available for sale, with Optus now offering the handset exclusively for the low price of $199.
This is the second phone that Oppo has brought to market with Optus, with the sleek, high-end Oppo R7 launching on a plan with the carrier last year. Michael Tran, CMO at OPPO Mobile Australia said,
We’re delighted to be working with Optus to bring the OPPO F1 to market and believe it will be a very popular choice among consumers. Aussies are realising that they don’t need to spend a fortune to have a quality Smartphone, and the F1, with its metal build and premium features is testament to that.
The F1 is the first phone in Oppo’s camera-centric F series, which also offers a premium metallic build. Camera wise the F1, with its 13MP rear camera is a real contender when it comes to mobile photography, while the f/2.0 aperture lens doesn’t lend itself to flagship phones, the price is the real differentiator here. The camera comes with Flash Shot technology which Oppo says offers a crisp and vivid shot, a promising start.

Optus has the Oppo F1 available in-store or online, though customers purchasing online will get a bonus selfie stick while stocks last. If you’re intersted in the Oppo F1, head over to the Optus website or head in-store to check it out.
If one does not care about things like Fingerprint Sensor, NFC and software updates, then this phone seems to be rather attractive.
