The Google Store is celebrating their first birthday this week, after opening the online hardware store on the 12th of March 2015. The Google Store is celebrating by offering a $100 discount on the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P.

The sale lasts from the 11th of March until the 27th of March, with all sizes (16/32GB) and colours (White, Black, Ice) of the Nexus 5X, as well as all sizes (32/64/128GB) and Colours (White, Silver, Black {Still no Gold, doh}) of the Nexus 6P. The price doesn’t show up immediately, it’s only applied once you add a phone to your cart and proceed to checkout.

The pricing for the devices now looks like this :

16GB 32GB
Nexus 5X $579 $479 $659 $559
32GB 64GB 128GB
Nexus 6P $899 $799 $999 $899 $1,099 $999

While you can grab a Nexus 5X from JB Hi-Fi for $447, it is only the ‘Ice’ coloured model, so if you’re after Black or White this may help you out a bit.

Shipping is as usual free from the Google Store, though you may want to pay a little extra to get it faster. This is a great way to get the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P for a decent price and with Android N only available to Nexus devices, this could be a good way to get in on the action.

    Taxed for being Australian

It’s a pity we can’t buy it in the US store for USD $499…

    Gregory Eden

$US499 = $AU660 and it would be the wrong model with US band support.

Anyone seen any sales figures of late for the Nexus lines?

Still cheaper to buy the 6P outright at Optus. Plus, free case and snazzy earbuds with it

    Peter Gillespie

You sure? Can you buy it outright? Optus 3gb plan for 24 months with ‘free’ 6p is $1440. Optus sim only no contract 7gb plan is just $440 plus this deal is cheaper

    Gregory Eden

Optus were selling at $774 plus buds a few months ago, but only by asking through Live Chat. Is that deal still available? Who knows. Costco were selling 64Gb 6Ps for $799 a while back though the Vodafone kiosks in their stores. That deal has expired.

Didn’t realize links needed approval. Here’s a screenshot

I bought mine outright for $744 from a physical store about a month ago. They don’t advertise it but I’m pretty sure that’s still the price

Hi I purchased mine from a physical optus store 2 weeks ago, for $744 came with huawei case and huawei earphones.

What kind of case? Because the only case I found in Optus was a crappy faux leather wallet type case.

Just a clear plastic shell, nothing special but it did the job until my speck candyshell arrived from Google store.

    Tony Soprano

Yeah I only bought the wallet version temporarily until I grabbed a spigen case.
