LG has announced some new phones in the K series which they launched at CES earlier this year, unveiling the LG K5 and K8 series handsets.
The K series handsets are aimed at the budget conscious, but will also offer what LG says is a ‘feature-rich UX and an advanced camera’. LG isn’t focusing on the specs, rather talking up the great design which they say has a brilliant finish and ‘imparts a luxuriousness and modern look’.
Spec wise, the phones have decent specs, though exactly what’s under the hood in terms of processor etc. isn’t known. LG have released the following specs:

The phones will launch in different markets, with the K8 aimed at a broader market with LG launching the phone in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America, while the K5 is more tightly targeted at Europe, CIS and Latin America, where it will be known as the Q6 in Mexico. So far LG Australia hasn’t announced plans for the LG K5 or K8, but we’ll let you know if that changes.
