Vodafone has added the MobiWire Kosumi 3G to its range of prepaid devices, and while the brand name mightn’t be known to many, the design is at least reassuringly familiar, with looks not unlike recent Alcatel or ZTE budget devices.

From what we understand, having not really heard of MobiWire before, the brand is a spin-off from Sagem, having been founded in July 2011. Sagem were a reasonably well known name in the pre-smartphone days, but we haven’t heard an awful lot about them more recently .. that is, until now.

Looking at the specs for the Kosumi 3G, there’s nothing to really stand out and wow anyone, but this is a budget price, and the price is the selling point. So without any further ado, here is the full list of specs the Mobiwire Kosumi 3G has available for the low $59 price:

With school going back in a couple of weeks, this might be a tempting device to buy for your kids as their first mobile, which gives them a bit of power and freedom, but not too much, and if they somehow smash their phone (as kids seem to do pretty frequently), the $59 asking price isn’t going to hurt too badly if you do end up needing to replace it; just take some of their pocket money 😉

The Mobiwire Kosumi 3G can be brought only from your local Vodafone store/dealer which you can check for your nearest store here for the RRP of $59.
