Samsung won’t be launching the Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus at Mobile World Congress, but a rumoured March 29th launch means the phones are almost ready for their big debut. As we draw closer it seems they can’t stay under wraps with new leaks of the phones in the wild.
First up is the Galaxy S8 which shows that Samsung really is serious about putting as large a screen as possible into a small body. The Galaxy S8 in these shots from @universeIce on Twitter show the phone functioning with an idea of the icons we can expect on the phone. There’s also a hint of the on-screen button layout on the S8 after it appears that Samsung has finally done away with the physical home key and capacitive buttons.

Next if you want a look at the Galaxy S8 Plus, again Twitter seems to be the place to go to with these shots surfacing earlier. The shots show what looks like a larger version of the Galaxy S8, with a similar style though if rumours are correct a 6.2″ display.

We’re nearing the launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus so we can probably expect more leaks in the lead up.
Do these images make you more or less excited for the launch of the Galaxy S8/S8 Plus?
Also I was expecting stereo speakers! Let’s hope the speaker is at least better than on the S7/S7E.
If the fingerprint reader is on the back that is very stupid! How are you going to unlock the phone when it’s sitting on the dinner table or kitchen top, what about when using Samsung Pay? You can’t have your hand on the back because you need to tap the phone against the pay terminal…
Samsung have managed to make it even harder to use a rear mounted fingerprint scanner by moving it slightly off centre. Some seriously weird usability ideas going on at Samsung. Been this way for a very, very long time.
