Oppo’s next flagship phone, the R11 has been sighted at theChinese telecommunication authority TENAA, only weeks after a grainy commercial leaked the dual-camera setup on the phone.

The shots supplied with the phones for certification at TENAA show the phones in a lot clearer light than we’ve seen previously, giving us a very good look at the phones from all angles. Both the R11 and the larger R11 Plus are included, though the Oppo R11 Plus is easier to see with a white face. Design wise you get a front mounted fingerprint scanner and a slight bump on the dual-camera setup on the rear, but it looks quite distinctly like an Oppo phone.

Oppo R11 Plus:

In terms of design, they’re pretty much the same, but under the hood they’re also quite similar, with the major specs the same but there are small differences between the two. A Qualcommm Snapdragon 660 SoC will power the devices, with a a dual-camera 16MP + 20MP setup on the rear which will offer 2x optical zoom. A higher end 20MP selfie cam on the front rounds out the camera specs for the Oppo R11 series. 64GB internal memory should be included in both, and a microSD card should be along for the ride.

The small differences between the two are in the RAM, screen size and of course battery. While both phones have a 1080P FullHD resolution, the smaller R11 will sport a 5.5″ AMOLED display, while the larger 6″ LCD display. The R11 will come with 4GB of RAM but if you want the best, the R11 will come with 6GB of RAM. Finally, the smaller R11 will get a relatively small 2,900mAh battery while the larger device will come with 3,880mAh battery.

Oppo will again skin the Android OS, which is Android 7.1 Nougat for this release, with Color OS but we’re going to have to find out from Oppo when they launch which version of Color OS will be included.

Oppo has been doing quite well with their R series phones in Australia, with the R9S available through Optus, as well as a full range of Oppo handsets available through Woolworths Mobile. With this sort of range, we should be seeing at least the Oppo R11 here as soon as it’s officially announced.
