Motorola has kicked off a new year with an announcement of more Moto Mods joining their growing collection.
There are two new Moto Mods, with the first, the Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod, the result of their Transform the Smartphone Challenge on Indiegogo last year. The second is the Vital Moto Mod from Moto’s parent company Lenovo which is designed to help track your health vital statistics.

Lenovo Vital Moto Mod

Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod
A grand prize winner of the first Transform the Smartphone Challenge with Indiegogo, the Livermorium Keyboard Moto Mod gives you a full QWERTY slider keyboard and a screen that can tilt up to 60 degrees. This moto mod delivers when a touch screen can’t handle your typing needs while throwing back to the keyboard days. Taking this moto mod from the Indiegogo campaign through our Accelerator Program is only the beginning as we look ahead to bringing future innovations to market.
Motorola is continuing their quest for new Moto Mods with a second round of the Transform the Smartphone Challenge, with enterprising innovators encouraged to submit an idea for a Moto Mod in a bid to win a Moto Z phone and Moto Mod Development Kit (MDK).
The availability for the new Moto Mods will begin in the US, with the Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod priced at $99USD and is set to appear in the ‘Winter’, so likely more towards the end of this year. The Lenovo Vital Moto Mod will be arriving in April, but at $395USD it’s going to be a hard sell.
