OnePlus have just dropped some big news, the new OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T McLaren devices. It wasn’t just the new devices that were the news though. Google and OnePlus confirmed during the announcement that the OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6 and Oneplus 6T will all get an update to Android 10, and soon.
As part of the new device release, Google and OnePlus have confirmed the above devices to receive the update to Android 10 starting this month with the OnePlus 6 and 6T. With both devices still in the Ausdroid cache we’ll be keeping an eye out for these updates.
OnePlus 5 and 5T owners will have to wait a bit longer, but you’re still going to get the update in Q2 2020. Being fair to OnePlus, these are 2 year old devices which often get updates after the more recent devices.
As noted by the team at 9to5Google, there isn’t any specific mention if these updates are going to be through an open Beta program or if this will be a standard update to the devices.
