Alcatel is one of the lesser recognised names in the mobile market when compared to the likes of Samsung, Apple and Huawei. But people do recognise the name, and also recognise the brand as a value for money option that offers a big bang for your buck.
Today Alcatel has confirmed three new devices are headed for the Australian market and they’re all priced under $200 outright.
Headlined by the 3L, available in dark chrome which offers a 48MP triple rear camera and a 6.22-inch (19:9 aspect ratio) HD+ screen. This is driven by an Octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage – No longer does the low end mean low image quality or storage capacity. In a lovely touch of usability, the 3L has Face Key and fingerprint sensor.
All of this is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery as well as having a lot more packed into a device that costs only $199 outright making it a great value option
The middle child of the three is the Alcatel 1V. Another 6.22-inch HD+ screen that can deliver all day use, entertainment and outstanding value for money at $149.00 outright. Its got a smudge-resistant backing that prevents fingerprints while allowing users to engage with their day and social life. The dual-camera setup also sports a depth sensor and capacity to capture images in relatively low light.
For such a cheap device, the addition of a dedicated Google Assistant button is a welcome surprise.
Finally, the baby of the family coming in at just $100 to purchase. The Alcatel 1B covers the basics, including a basic operating system as it runs Android™ 10 (Go edition). It carries 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage and a host of enhancements to ensure that daily use is consistent and pleasurable.
The smartphone hosts a Smart Manager service that runs in the background to clear memory instantly and optimise power intelligently. Users can freely roam on-the-go as the Alcatel 1B has a large 3000mAh battery, getting them through the day with ease.
