HMD Global, the brand behind the Nokia smartphone and tablet business has launched a new budget device; the Nokia C32 that brings with it a new updated design alongside a new and updated camera system.

The Nokia C32 first smartphone in the popular C-series range with a 50MP camera, bringing advanced imaging to an even more affordable price point, a refreshed design and has a toughened glass finish for a premium feel alongside the latest Android 13 running right out of the box.

Brenden Folitarik, HMD Global’s Country Manager for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands has stated:

“We know the family wallet is under increased pressure. What the Nokia C32 brings to Aussies is an affordable and quality smartphone. We know Aussies are obsessed with taking photos with their phones and the Nokia C32 takes this to a whole new level bringing high-quality photos at exceptional value. We believe that value should not sacrifice design, so we have included a toughened glass finish usually seen in more premium designs to ensure Nokia C32 looks as good as the pictures it takes”.

The Nokia C32 has a 6.517-inch HD+ display (720×1600) and is powered by a Octa-core Unisoc SC9863A1 processor chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which can be expanded to 256GB via MicroSD card.

In terms of cameras, the Nokia C32 comes with a dual rear camera set up which is made up of a 50MP wide main lens and a 2MP macro lens whilst the front facing is a reasonable 8MP lens.

The Nokia C32 comes with USB-C charging port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth version 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a 5,000 mAh non removable battery which, the company states, can last up to 3 days.

As stated earlier, the Nokia C32 runs the latest version of Android 13 right out of the box and will come in three bold colours, Charcoal, Autumn Green, or Beach Pink.

The Nokia C32 will be available through the Nokia website and retail partners, though none were provided for $249, though if you purchase from the nokia website you can also grab a free clear case which from 100% recycled materials with fully recyclable packaging which retails normally for $29 as part of a bundle deal the company are running on their website.

The clear case can be purchased separately on the Nokia store for $29 if you didn’t opt to for for the bundle offer with the case included but is out of stock currently with no ETA on restock.
Bought my C32 in Beach Pink from Harvey Norman instead of buying the bundle with the case from the Nokia store.
Being a C-series phone, the C32 is likely to not get Android 14-instead only security updates.

Trying to take good photos on this device will be an exercise in futility due to the, substandard even for a third world entry level device, 720p screen.
