Motorola has launched 2 new edge devices to its edge family line which the company is claiming a new premium era alongside wireless earbuds that are powered by Bose to the Aussie market.
The new devices, motorola edge 50 pro and motorola edge 50 fusion brings a smarter combination of style and intelligence, delivering an elevated design and an advanced camera system packed with AI-powered enhancements. Alongside the two new devices it is also launching the new moto buds+ with Sound by Bose.

The motorola edge 50 pro has been designed with ontoured edges and a sandblasted aluminium frame along with vegan leather finish which is available in 2 colours – Black Beauty and Luxe Lavender, or a special edition pearl finish in Moonlight Pearl.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro brings a 6.7-inch Super HD (2712 x 1220 @ 1220p) display that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage – however it is important to know that it would seem you cannot expand this memory via microSD card so you may want to make sure you have enough cloud memory.
Like with all smartphone, cameras are one of the biggest sellers of a device and the Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with a triple rear camera set up, made up of a 50MP main sensor lens, 13MP Ultrawide angle and a 10MP Telephoto lens. The front facing camera is a 50MP lens.
Motorola has stated the camera set up and experience has been built around camera activation using moto gestures, to cutting edge hardware, a new AI-powered Photo Enhancement Engine, and colour validation image edition capabilities.
In terms of battery, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with a 4500mAh battery that they are saying can last a full day, NFC and Dual SIM capabilities alongside Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2.4 GHz | 5 GHz | 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 5.4 and USB-C charging port which supports 125W TurboPower charging and 50W wireless TurboCharging as well. It is also important to note that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro doesn’t come with an audio jack so you will need to use Bluetooth wireless headphones/earphones.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will run Android 14 right out of the box and the company is offering 3 OS updates, 4 years of bi-monthly security updates and 24 months of warranty.
The Motorola 50 Edge Pro will be available now through the Motorola website alongside retail partners such as JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, Officeworks, Amazon in Luxe Lavender and Black Beauty in a vegan leather finish whilst the limited edition Moonlight Pearl will also be available online at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and the Motorola website from 23rd May 2024 for $999.

The motorola edge 50 fusion is according to the company, bringing premium features to a broader range of consumers, with the device that comes in vibrant colours and ultrathin, contoured design make it the perfect companion.

Motorola are also launching the all new moto buds+ with Sound by Bose, which the company has stated bring a more seamless, immersive experience to the Motorola ecosystem, featuring Hi-Res Audio and Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) all wrapped up in a modern, water-repellent design.
With both Motorola and Bose working collaboratively on the new buds+, the new partnership has been able to leverage Bose’s expertise to deliver an unmatched experience for users, with impressive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and EQ tuning for amazing high-quality audio on the go.
The Buds+ are also compatible with Dolby Head Tracking when paired with the motorola edge 50 pro, bringing users more natural and multidimensional sound experience by recalibrating the sound as they move their head. When paired with their favourite entertainment in Dolby Atmos, users can enjoy an amplified sound experience with greater clarity, detail, and depth.
The Moto Buds+ can last up to eight hours of playtime with a single charge, but can also be charged on the go thanks to the charging case which can give an extra 3 hours of listening
with just 10 minutes of charging. The case can also be wireless charged meaning yu don always need to have a USB-C cord with you should you be at home, at your desk of use a wireless portable battery om the go.
The Moto Buds+ will be available in Forest Grey and Beach Sand colours through the Motorola website.
