Motorola, a Lenovo company has announced that it is wrapping up its premium Edge series of devices for 2024 with two new devices hitting the market with the motorola edge 50 and motorola edge 50 neo which both fuse art and technology including a camera system powered by Sony’s LYTIA sensor, moto ai experiences and a harmonious design with proven durability.

The motorola edge 50 features a borderless 6.7-inch pOLED display (2712 x 1220 | 1.5K @ 446ppi) that is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition, 12GB RAM and comes with 256GB onboard storage which sadly cannot be expanded via MicroSD card, so you will need to make sure you have enough cloud storage.
In terms of cameras, the motorola edge 50 comes with a triple rear camera set up made up of a 50MP Sony – LYTIATM 700C main sensor lens, a 13MP Ultrawide angle lens and a 10MP Telephoto lens. The front facing camera is a 32MP lens.
The camera system and software have moto ai processing embedded into the software ensuring your pictures, especially to aid in capturing scenes at night, pop, along with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and advanced all-pixel focus technology, users of the device will capture a crisp image every time.

The motorola edge 50 will come with a vegan leather backing which will be available in either Jungle Green, Koala Grey and Peach Fuzz – which is Pantone colour of the Year and will be available exclusively through at JB Hi-Fi from September 2nd for $799.

The motorola edge 50 neo caters to those who want a smaller handset and display, without compromising on quality and comes with a 6.4 pOLED AMOLED display (2670 x 1220 @ 460ppi) that is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, which sadly cannot be expanded via MicroSD card, so you will need to make sure you have enough cloud storage.
