Vodafone has today announced a new bonus for their prepaid customers willing to connect or recharge more than $40 per time, offering an additional 2GB of data each time they do so.

The plan affects those connected to their new $40, $50 or $60 Combo prepaid plans, as long as you connect and then continue to recharge $40 or more each time you recharge. The deal will be offered to those who connect and recharge before the 26th of January 2016, with the bonus data being offered each time they recharge until the 25th of January 2017 – that’s theoretically up to 26GB of bonus data spread across 13 recharges over the next 12 months.

The Vodafone PrePaid Combo plans are pretty decent already, but 2GB of bonus data in this data rich society is nothing to sneeze at. The plans with an additional 2GB of data would look like this:

General Manager of Products, Stephen Smyth said the offer shows Vodafone values its customer and isn’t just about incentivising customers but rewarding them for staying with Vodafone each time they recharge, he went on further to say

We know how much our customers enjoy our fast 4G speeds, and we thought what better way to delight them than with a data boost. Telcos are often accused of only offering the best deals to new customers, and this is something we want to change. This offer is proof in the pudding that you don’t have to be a new customer to score a great offer at Vodafone

There’s additional bonuses for customers looking to connect to the PrePaid Combo plans at the moment, with $40 Combo starter packs being offered at half price on the Vodafone PrePaid site until the 24th of November.

No deal. For $50 p/m you get 8GB (so 2GB more) of data and 300 minutes of calls as well as unlimited text to 32 countries as well as unlimited calls and text in Australia with Amaysim on the Optus 4G network which has superior coverage and mostly better speeds than VF. For $40 you get the same inclusions with Amaysim plus unlimited text to 32 countries thrown in.
    Try again VF

Another Vodafone deal, another poke in the eye for anyone stupid enough to commit to a contract with them 🙁
