Supermarket chain Coles has upped their pre-paid plans for mobile today by offering two new recharge offerings with increased data allowances.
Previously Coles Pre-Paid options included two $10 pre-paid options with a $10 for 10 Days option which included 800MB of data or a $10 Pay As You Go option which saw you paying 12¢ per MB. From today you can still get the 10 day option, but it’s now known as the Coles Prepaid $10 and comes with 1GB of data. Two other plans, a $20 and $40 Coles prepaid plans have now been added to the options offering more options especially with data.
All the Coles plans now offer unlimited calls to national numbers, as well as unlimited SMS/MMS to national numbers. The $40 plan also offers customers 250 standard international calls. Customers wanting to add more to their plans can do so by adding either a $5 or $15 pack for international calls, roaming and premium services.
In terms of data, the $20 plan gives you 2GB of data, while the $40 plan offers a whopping 7GB of data. Coles PrePaid also allows you to add data in 500MB blocks for $5 per pack, though these packs expire within 7 days.
The $20 and $40 plan have an extended 28 day expiry, bringing them into line with other pre-paid offerings from vendors like Amaysim.
Coles General Manager Non-Food, Andrew Mossop, said he was pleased to launch these new recharge options to provide additional value to customers as the category continues to grow.

We’re pleased to provide these new prepaid mobile recharge options which offer unlimited standard talk and text, and generous data inclusions from a trusted telco provider like Optus.
Coles provides a range of handsets to purchase to go along with your new phone plan, but as with any new service you look at it’s important to check coverage first. You can see the full Coles Prepaid coverage map on their website.
Using a Coles Prepaid mobile service has a great benefit for people heavily invested in the FlyBuys rewards program, with each recharge accruing points on your card. You can also redeem FlyBuys points on Coles Prepaid.
