A couple of weeks ago, Vodafone suffered a nationwide outage affecting voice and data services. In the changing landscape of the telco industry where customers can change quickly and easily, it’s important to appease the customers.
The reaction has come quickly with Vodafone customers receiving the following text in the last couple of days:
Hi Phil – as you are aware, we recently experienced an issue which disrupted our 4G mobile services. We’re sorry for the impact this caused you and as a gesture of goodwill, we’re offering FREE data services to customers this weekend, from 12:01am Saturday 24 April to 11:59pm Sunday 25 April. For more information, visit vodafone.com.au/free-data. Thanks, Vodafone.
Take into consideration the data caps and “infinite” data allowances on the current plans. While it’s a nice gesture from the telco to offer free data, but is it enough?
Vodafone already gives us unlimited data, so this is shit considering we had trouble for over 3 days, before it was fixed fully.
