Update: Data charges will apply if you don’t have allocated data on your cap, so head to the nearest Wi-Fi network to save yourself any extra costs.
Remember way back in January when Vodafone said the HTC Legend would receive the 2.2 OTA update in February, well if you’re not currently aware it’s now March and the update is finally on its way to your device. No, we’re not pulling your leg, Vodafone has confirmed via their blog that the update is headed across the 3G (or Wi-Fi) radio waves to your device starting 12PM tomorrow — you’ll receive a notification on your Legend. Vodafone suggest you only download this update if you have full 3G HSPA signal, and seeing as that appears to be a rarity for some, we suggest heading to your closest Wi-Fi network and download the 85MB update there. We have reached out to Voda to check if downloading over 3G won’t cost you, so for now we’ll once again point you to the Wi-Fi signal. Have fun Legendees.
