Remember that ST25i ‘Kumquat’ that leaked a few days ago? Well it turns out that it might just be launching under the name ‘Xperia U’, at least that is what Xperia Blog are reporting and given their track record we’re going to trust them on it. They received a tip-off about the Indonesian Telecom Regulatory body website which listed the device (see NO. 232) as the Sony Xperia U along with the name Sony Ericsson Xperia U just in case the purchase of Ericsson’s share doesn’t go through.
Given how close Indonesia is to our great nation, it would be fairly plausible to think that both the Xperia S and Xperia U are both launching here in the coming months.
