Paul from Modaco has received information from a source in-the-know that there’s a HTC device floating around going by the codename ‘Endeavor’ and it’s expected to launch at Mobile World Congress later this month. The specs line up nicely with previous rumours of the HTC Edge:
- 4.7-inch 1280×720 (HD — 312ppi) Display
- NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core CPU @ 1.5Ghz
- Android 4.0.3 w/ Sense UI
- 8MP 1080p Rear Camera / 1.3MP Face Shooter
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
- HSPA+ 850/900/(1700|1900)/2100Mhz
- 1GB RAM
- Beats Audio
Below is a render of the HTC Edge which we’re assuming is also known as the Endeavor. If the launch date is correct, we’ll be seeing this bad boy announced on February 26th.

Why, oh why couldn’t they have just put an NFC in it? that is the only other thing i want. Would have been my perfect phone if they had, now i need to hope the samsung galaxy s 3 comes with it.
I quite like the design. Im hoping for good battery life tho first…id sacrifice some power for it for sure! But if the battery life can match the specs its one heck of a bonus. So samsung pledging better battery life this year i will hang out for that. Screen size seems pretty spot on. I have the Sgs II and it seemed large at first but now is tiny because i also have the Note…so looking for something in between…i know galaxy nexus wouldve seemed like a go but the battery life isnt there…i even got the genuine 2000mah… Read more »
Mm i like it, bout time htc brought out something worth while.
Is this going to chew battery like everything else that has senseui?
I’d also like to see AMOLED return , everything else just doesnt cut it after a Galaxy S2.
Also, personal preference, but 4.7 might be a bit too large for me. I find using a Galaxy Nexus, its a little bit too wide to comfortably use with one hand.
Now those are the specs I’ve been waiting for!!
Up for a new phone/contract on Telstra…have the Sensation atm, but I’m hanging our for something with a little more grunt, and this could well be it! I don’t think it’s that bad looking actually…it’s no sensation looks wise, but it’s stil decent.
So this or the Edge could be my next phone, hopefully!
Ugly? How about the iPhone ‘range’…you don’t exactly need to be a weightlifter to use a HTC. Knit picking…
and I would hope the buttons disappear from the finished item…
I personally like the weight of HTC phones.
Heft + aluminium != quality no matter what Apple propaganda says. The SGS2 is only 116g.
and lighter != better!
the SGSII is a nice phone certainly, but like the 1st one, it feels a little cheap. I’ve got my old Desire HD and I like the weight of that – heavy enough you know it’s in your pocket.
Right now I can’t really recommend getting an evo or a sensation when the SGSII is there, specs like this would certainly change the field.
Will it weigh a ton like other HTC phones?
It’s ugly imo
