HTC have unveiled to the world the Desire X, a low-cost, yet stylish alternative to HTC’s somewhat pricey One Series of devices — mainly the One S. The Desire X features a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) LCD display similar to the exceptional quality of the One X display. There’s also a 1GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 5MP camera (no 720p video, however), 756MB RAM, and a 1,650mAh battery.

No pricing or availability has been confirmed for an Australian launch at the moment. HTC have confirmed that Asia & Europe will both be receiving the device, so I wouldn’t rule out a local launch just yet.

Looks like it will do everything I want in a replacement (My Telstra/Motorola is so darn faulty)
My girlfriends aging HTC works a treat by comparison.
Do keep us posted on this one
