We’ve already heard about Sony’s plans to launch a new smartwatch when Mobile Asia Expo 2013 kicks off in Shanghai later today, and now it looks like they could have more announcements up their sleeve. Rumours are circulating that the Sony Xperia C will be announced this week. Details as still scarce but the device will reportedly be 8.8mm in thickness and will feature 5-inch qHD (540 x 960) display, 1.2GHz quad-core chipset, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage with microSD support, 8MP Exmor R camera and will run Android 4.2.2.
The Xperia C will reportedly be launched in China and “other selected markets”, so there is no word yet on whether we will see the device in Australia. We’ll keep an eye on the happenings at the Mobile Asia Expo this week, and will let you know as soon as we get confirmation.
