Photos of a supposed new Sony device have emerged today, rumoured to be the Sony Xperia Honami. Much of the discussion about this device seems to revolve around the camera, which is rumoured to feature a whopping a 1/1.6″ sensor with 20MP resolution. The images appear to show a single LED flash as well as a larger xenon flash. There’s microSD and microSIM slots, and a dedicated camera key on the side of phone, which emphasises the Honami’s focus on the camera. The phone is also rumoured to feature a 5-inch 1080p screen and a Snapdgragon 800 chipset.
It’s worth noting that the phone in these images seems to be too small to house a camera sensor of that size, so make sure you take these rumours with an extremely large pinch of salt. Still, the focus of this device definitely seems to be on the camera. We’ll keep an eye on it, and will make sure to let you know if and when we get some more concrete information.

5″ snapdragon 800 kickarse camera and lots of storage chuck in LTE then release a nexus phone with those stats to compete and I’ll buy that.
One oft-repeated story tells us of the Honami and another story tells us of an upgraded Xperia Z. Both devices run a Snapdragon 800 and a battery around 3000 mAh. Same device? Different interpretations of the data?
Seems a bit unrealistic considering the phone Sony already just unveiled, but who knows? Stranger things have happened.
