With IFA upon us, the news about what companies will announce are increasing and this certainly is the case for Alcatel, who are set to announce another android smartphone device for its one touch series of devices.
In a statement from the company, Alcatel are stating the One Touch Idol Alpha takes creativity to a new level with translucent edges, which illuminate in various modes either when the device is charging, when notifications come through, watching videos etc.
Alcatel haven’t given away the details of what the Idol Alpha, however the following range of specs have been taken from the press release statement and GSM Arena:
- Aluminum metal frame with a 7.5mm thin body
- 4.7″ (720 x 1280) edge-to-edge HD IPS screen, 312 ppi
- Quad Core 1.2 GHz
- 2 GB RAM
- Network: 3G: 850/900 2G: 1800 4G: 1900
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot
- Android™ 4.2
So whilst the One Touch Idol Alpha isn’t going to set any benchmark records, it is another welcomed addition to the Android ecosystem.
