ALDI Stores are once again offering the Bauhn 4.3″ Dual-SIM smartphone at a reduced price of $149 (originally $199 last year) from next Wednesday 8 January 2014 for one week only or until sold out, which has been the case in the last with devices running out like hot cakes. We’ve reviewed ALDI phones in the past, and they’ve been pretty damned good for the price point, and this one is likely to be another of the same.

- 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor
- 1GB Ram
- 5MP rear facing Camera, Front 0.3MP
- 8GB internal memory, expandable to 32GB via microSD card
- Bluetooth
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Are you in the market for a dual-SIM smartphone? Have you previous brought this device and if so, what do you think of it? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below
If it was 4g I would be all over it. Dick Smith have been selling the Frontier 4g for $99. We picked up one for the father in law as an Xmas present and he loves it. A Frontier is much better value at this level of phone.
I’m looking for a cover as well + will there be a review of this phone…???
Hi Jo, Best option is to speak to Aldi. The actual chances of getting a custom Bauhn branded cover are slim to none unfortunately, case makers generally support only large releases.
We also tend not to review Aldi phones as they do not supply review devices due to their limited availability and having to purchase phones for every review is not something that is financially viable.
where can I buy a phone cover from?
The ALDI 4.3″Bauhn Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has only 4.9GB of internal memory why does the packet say 8″
GB Memory. Can someone explain?
Most likely – and I’m just spitballing here – it does have 8GB of storage but has 3GB odd of Bauhn ROM on it.
Has anyone been able to assign downloaded music as a ringtone or alarm?
I had issue with WiFi MAC changing after every screen lock. This gives me issues. Anyone having the same issue?
Locked?
Aldi phones are sold unlocked, so you can use it with whichever carrier you prefer. As it supports 3G 850/200, it’ll work better on Telstra than it will on others, but it’ll still work on Optus / Voda as well.
