Like any major provider of products and services, or at least any good one, you want to know what your users think of your products, and how to improve those experiences as best you can. Google has announced that it will invite users to help it improve the Google user experience, and besides the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you’ve helped to improve the services that you (probably) use, there could be a reward in it too.
Google’s Usability page is calling for would-be volunteers to sign up for some research studies to be conducted by Google or its contractors, and in exchange for giving information about how you use Google services, how often, usage habits and the like, there’s rewards in the form of gift cards, donations to your chosen charity and more on offer.
It’s a pretty simple idea, and Google have already put together some frequently asked questions to answer those that you might have. Studies might take place at your home or office, at Google’s office (hint: they’re fun to visit!) or a combination of the two, and the time commitment isn’t all that much.
Check it out, and let us know if you get an invite!
