The Galaxy S5 hasn’t even launched as yet, but the rumours surrounding a mini version have already cropped up fueled by the discovery of a User Agent Profile(UAProf) which describes a lower specced version of the Galaxy S5. While it’s still uncertain if this phone will in fact be a Galaxy S5 Mini or Neo, the specs are inline with a phone of this nature.
The phone, with model # SM-G750 as it appears in the UAProf, will come with a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Processor, 720×1280 resolution display – no screensize listed – and will run Android 4.3. The fact the phone is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is a spanner in the works as a Galaxy S5 Mini/Neo would be more likely to run KitKat, but perhaps this phone hasn’t received it’s final software payload in preparation for launch.
We’ll be sure to see more Galaxy S5 variants from Samsung in the coming months, just as we saw with the Galaxy S4. The range of phone carrying the Galaxy S5 branding is also rumoured to include a Galaxy S5 Zoom. We’ll be keeping tuned for more on any Galaxy S5 launches and will let you know if anything more crops up.
