Samsung has overnight announced their fourth generation Galaxy Tab series of tablets – the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The tablets have been expected ever since their appearance on the Gear Fit microsite as compatible with the fitness band.
Before you start getting excited for high-end devices, it is bests to remember that the Galaxy Tab range are what’s considered their ‘budget’ range. But there’s some decent specs here: All three screen sizes on offer come in WXGA (1280×800) resolution, there’s microSD card expansion slots on all the tablets offering a way to increase the on-board storage and it appears that there will be 3G/LTE options for all three models, although which models make it to Australia is another question.
The Galaxy Tab 4 series will launch with Samsung’s UX over the top of Android 4.4(KitKat) and will include Multi-Window multi-tasking options. There’s also the usual features : GroupPlay, WatchON and Samsung Link for adding to your multi-media experience.
The Galaxy Tab 4 will come in Black and White with a ‘textured, premium look and feel back cover’. Samsung has not announced pricing but has advised that the Galaxy Tab 4 will launch ‘globally beginning in 2Q, 2014’.

I love dg
Mid range is exactly what these are supposed to be.
The Note line was the high-end.
But how you’d class these now, with the release of the Pro lines, the Tablet line looks more to be the low end budget range, rather than mid range.
I never understood the reason for these devices. Are they meant to be mid range? The resolution on them is always way to low. At least they’re above 720p this time.
