So much for April the 11th as a simultaneous worldwide release! Following the Galaxy S5 breaking street date in South Korea, there’s a number of third parties (not telcos or retail shops) selling the Galaxy S5 on Amazon.
These parties are offering shipping in 1 – 2 days, and with the usual “US Shipping Only” rules that can be circumvented, getting a Galaxy S5 early, and in Australia, might just be doable. For around AUD$980.00 you could get your hands on the latest toy from Samsung, and I can confirm that I was able to get through to a point where Amazon was looking for payment commitment on the order; so it’s doable from Australia.
Amazing how quickly something like the breach of street date can spread. It’s likely a massive disappointment for Samsung I’m sure.
Just shy of $1000 is a hefty price to pay to get the S5 as little as 3 days before everyone else in Aus (shipping going well). Is it worth the price?
