Galaxy S5 Mini
After a UserAgent Profile(UAProf) for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini was supposedly spotted last month. There wasn’t much included except for CPU Speed and the resolution of screen, now SAMMobile are reporting they have some more specs for the SM-G800.

For a start the phone will come with a 4.5″ 720×1280 resolution Super AMOLED display, very much an improvement over the disappointing qHD resolution of last years Galaxy S4 Mini. The type of processor still hasn’t been named but is rumoured to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-Core, and if the UAProf for the SM-G800 is to be believed this will be clocked at 2.3GHz.

For the rest of the specs, there will be an 8MP Rear Camera, 2MP Front-Facing Camera, 1.5GB RAM (a surprise given the 3GB in their flagship), 16GB of on-board storage, with no mention of microSD card expansion, but given both the Galaxy S III Mini and the Galaxy S4 Mini came with a microSD card slot, it’s hard to envisage Samsung leaving this out. Finally, we’ll have a 2,100mAH battery powering the phone.

Into speculation, again and there’s thoughts that the Galaxy S5 Mini will retain the IP67 water/dust proof rating of its larger brother. No word on the biometrics side of things on the Mini, with no confirmation of fingerprint reader or heart rate monitor in the phone yet, but the like most of the devices coming out of Samsung now, the phone will launch on Android 4.4.

Hopefully this shouldn’t be too far away, but given the S5 hasn’t ‘officially’ launched as yet, it’s logical that Samsung may hold off for a while to re-vitalise interest in their flagship after the initial flurry of orders begins to subside.

Does the Galaxy S5 Mini sound like your next phone?
