With all the talk recently of a HTC M8 Prime floating around, it seems HTC isn’t willing to sink all their eggs into one basket, with speculation surrounding an all plastic version of the HTC One M8, called the M8 Ace starting to circulate.
The above render appeared on Chinese site ifanr, and shows off a much clearer version of the phone, which was first hinted at by @EvLeaks back in April. Alongside the red render, @EvLeaks has proven yet again why he’s considered the best in the leaking business, by showing off another render of the M8 Ace this morning in grey.
Evan also went on to comment on the hardware specs of the phone, clarifying the screensize, which has up until now been pegged at 5″. Evan advised that the M8 Ace would in fact be coming with a 4.7″ screen, whether this 4.7″ screen will retain the 1080P resolution talked about in other leaks is unknown. Hardware under the hood will apparently include a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC and be priced at CN¥3,000 (about AUD$522.03).
Release dates etc, will arrive at some stage, but as to which markets the M8 Ace will show up in, there’s no real way of knowing.
Tempting if they price falls into the 400’s
Doubtful though.
Tempting is an understatement, toast.
If it has microSD support and a smoothly working GPS, and is priced under the Sony Z1 Compact, I’d be wanting one.
