We’re less than 24 hours from the official launch of the LG G3, but it appears that LG in the Netherlands has decided to not wait to put the details on their latest flagship up on their site. The Dutch site, which is still up at this stage, has leaked renders of the phone in the three release colours: Metallic Black, Silk White and Gold Shine as well as listing the full specs of the phone.
The model headed for the Netherlands, is the LG-D855 and has some slightly different specs to what we’ve seen posted in the lead-up to the launch. The phone is listed with only 2GB of RAM, whereas rumours said 3GB and the phone has only been listed with 16GB of on-board storage, where previous rumours suggested that the phone would come with 32GB. It’s entirely possible that these specs are purely for this regional variant, though the RAM is generally kept the same in each market, it’s entirely possible we could see 32GB versions of the G3 released in some markets.

The most interesting spec, would appear to be the ‘Optic image stablizer with Laser Auto Focus‘ With LASERS!! The exact way this will work will be laid out for us tomorrow morning at the launch.
Render wise, if you haven’t seen enough of the G3, then this is your chance to get some un-watermarked clear pics of the phone :
There’s not too much more to say at this point, except we’ll see you at 3am AEST tomorrow morning for the launch and hopefully to get some info on when the phone will hit our shores.
lol, “With LASERS!!!”
that cracked me up.
2GB of RAM? Please be a typo.
Have to admit, not a fan of the shiny plastic and the buttons on the back. Might wait to see reviews from Ausdroid or try it out one day when it comes here
4.2.2? Hope that’s a typing error. Or will LG stay true to form by releasing flagship phones with old android versions and at time of release promise update to current version. By the time phones rom is updated google has released a new android version. LG = great hardware and great software that is outdated. Thought LG had changed with G2.
Unfortunately not a typo – copied and pasted from the LG Netherlands site….:(
Then it’s simply a mistake on their end, they’re not going to release their flagship with 4.2.
Unfortunately LG have a history of doing similar, check gsm arena regarding android version on release of LGOG1and LGOG2 (id post links but cant be arsed from mobile whilst supposedly working). I hope it is a typo.
It has been confirmed that it will ship with 4.4, they revealed the specs in a private press event in Korea.
I completely agree that it is most likely a ‘typo’ but you’ve linked to the LG-F400S/K/L model which is for Korea, nothing to say the LG-D850/1/5 will ship with 4.4, LG does have a history of shipping old software.
Yes and when they’ve shipped old software on the OG and G2 it was for all of the variants, so I don’t see why they’d only ship the Korean version with Kitkat. Add in the fact that it shows white notification icons, which wouldn’t be the case if LG decided to use 4.2 since they use cyan for those versions. Also take into account that their entry-level L-series of phones will be shipping out with Kitkat, so to me the idea of them releasing their flagship of 2014 with an old version of Android while their entry-level devices for the… Read more ยป
Preaching to the choir but we report on what they have up, not what we think they should have. If they change it (Which I think it will) we will report on it. Trying to argue what is there in black and white on an OFFICIAL source is pretty pointless.
See nothing to worry about ๐
Thats the trouble with prolonged “leaks”, it creates too much hype and continued up-specing. So when phone is finally released its a bit of a disappointment eg SGS5 and 1+1.
It *has* to be a typo on their end, there is no way they would release a phone with 4.2. 4.3, maybe but no way they’d even have been in late development when 4.2.2 was around. Also, it says Android 4.2.2, KitKat
I’m hoping it is, but we have to go with what’s on their site. Previous rumours have been for Android 4.4, so we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
Damn those pics look really sweet.
Looking forwards to seeing the Ausdroid review on the phone, before I decide.
