Curating content for your consumption is sometimes a fairly difficult task, and some days, it comes delivered on a platter. Today, we have a video of HTC’s CEO Peter Chou, and HTC’s Chairperson, Cher Wang, singing together at the company’s end of year party.
Is it cheesy? Yes. Would it make you cringe? Maybe. Is it good to see a tech CEO rocking out on stage with the chair of his board of directors? Absolutely.
According to the description on the YouTube video uploaded by HTC:
HTC has been around for 18 years, and for the first time they have their own song! Peter [Chou] led the HTC SUPER BAND in the chorus to “We Are One”, a song which represents the HTC family where every member has all the love and faith, passion and the courage to dream. More importantly, together we can change the world, together we are One!
The fun doesn’t stop there. If you’d like to see Peter take a stab at “Hey Jude” from The Beatles, then you can do that, too!
We take our hats off to Peter. Not only has he guided HTC to produce two successively brilliant handsets in the HTC One (and the HTC One M8), but he can play the guitar and sing, and he does so fairly well.
Well done Peter!
Cheesy/corny – it doesn’t matter. Nice to see the CEO and chairperson show that they are human beings having some fun and not just some faceless, corporate suits.
