Android One Logo
After launching in countries across Asia, Google has turned their attention further afield with their Android One program launching in Europe. The first country to see the Android One handsets is Turkey, and in another first, the handsets are the first to use Qualcomm processors.

The handsets will be built by General Mobile, and feature 4G connectivity but also a more inflated price, with General Mobile pricing the handset at approximately US$260 – somewhat above the US$100 price tag that Google has been aiming for in other markets. The handset has fairly decent hardware with a number of upgrades over the previous handsets, and of course comes pre-loaded with Android 5.1

  • 5 “HD IPS display eye-catching and durable Gorilla® Glass 4
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and a breathtaking 64-bit performance
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 16GB on-board storage with microSD card slot
  • 4G speed internet
  • 13 MP front camera with Dual-LED Flash and a 5 MP camera

Of course if you know of anyone in Turkey who can supply a General Mobile Android One handset, we’d love to hear from you.

Breathtaking 64bit performance. From a 410. Good honest Turkish advertising there.
