Australian’s have been using VPN services for a long time, mainly to access geo-restricted content from other regions, and more recently in response to incoming government snooping. But, we have some pretty great content here at home and if you’re overseas those same pesky geo-blocking restrictions mean you can’t access them, now VPN service Unblock Us has added Australian and New Zealand options to their service to let you virtually come back home.
The update showed up in the latest update to the Unblock Us Android App , with the Google Play ‘What’s New’ update simply adding :
– adds Australia and New Zealand
We’ve all got our preferences for VPN services, I used to use Unblock Us until the recent birthday sale from PureVPN. If you’re still looking for a VPN service you can try out Unblock Us with a free one week trial, after which it’s just $4.99 per month, or $49.90 a year. Head over to the Unblock Us website for more information.
Do PureVPN, Getflix or Unblock-Us keep a log of users/IP addresses? The main reason I use Private Internet Access is the fact they do not keep a log of which user had which IP address and when. This makes it more secure.
By the way Getflix also have an app (it’s new) and already had Australia and New Zealand regions (since a day or two after launch I believe). Used Unblockus for a few months, nothing really wrong with them but I’ve been using Getflix for about 12 months now and prefer Getflix – cleaner interface, open API etc.
