The LG G4 hasn’t even arrived in the hands of consumers in Australia (that comes in a week or so), and already it looks as if development of a follow-up device could be well underway. What you’re seeing above is a render of a supposed LG G4 S variant, which is said to feature a 5.2″ 1080p display using In-Cell Touch technology to improve touch response time.
Beyond that, the rear camera takes a dive to 8MP with laser auto-focus and a dual-LED flash, and the CPU gets a bit of a boost to an eight-core 1.5GHz processor. Expectations are that this device could be announced within a month or so.
Looking at the specs, it’s likely going to be priced below that of the G4, in a move destined to make flagship phone features available to consumers at a lower cost. There’s not much other detail to this rumour, at this stage, but we’ll keep an ear out and let you know if we hear anything more.
Sounds like the components of a new Nexus…
If a Nexus and priced lower than the Nexus 6 and LG G4, this would sell like hotcakes!
