Android Auto may only be in the fledgeling stages due to limited availability and a relatively high entry price point, but it’s certainly underway. Google has today updated their Android Auto app with an improved interface for viewing navigation and music.
The update is certainly a lot easier to view your navigation and the music card is larger and easier to glance at as you can see in the shots that Android Central supplied:
The complete change log from the What’s New section includes:
- Improved home screen, allowing you to see ongoing activites such as music and navigation at a glance.
- Various bug fixes and improvements
If you have one of the Pioneer head units, or perhaps have a Volkswagen or Skoda in your driveway or on order, then check out the update and let us know what you think.

Awesome. Now just to go out in the car so that I can see the changes in action (app updated earlier today).
Glad to see changes like this that slowly improve the system coming along, might not be everywhere yet, but glad they aren’t ignoring it.
