In the wee hours of Wednesday morning next week (AEDT), HTC is planning on launching something. At this stage all signs point to the launch of the HTC One A9 ‘Aero’, an aluminium unibody phone with a new design. As has become the norm for manufacturers, they’ve begun a bit of hype building for the event, releasing a techno fuelled art-house style teaser on their social media channels.

The event starts at 9am PST on the 20th of October (3am AEDT on Wednesday the 21st) at which stage you’ll be able to stream the even from the htc.com/au/go/launch/ site.

I’m sure there has to be something else to this event. I don’t think manufacturers generally do anything like this for midrange devices
